Hi, I'm Dr. Creado
I invested many years of my life to become a physical therapist, medical doctor, psychiatrist, sports psychiatrist and functional sleep medicine doctor because I was frustrated with the fragmented care that patients were receiving.
In the world of sleep, less-than-ideal sleep can be responsible for everything from ‘treatment-resistant’ depression to food cravings, to an inability to shed the pounds, to your relapses of rheumatoid arthritis to wrong diagnoses of ADHD, to slowed recovery from injury, to risks of dementia and even heart attacks and strokes.
It is not enough to look for a problem after it arises, or treat it with just one medication after another.
It is about looking at all the underlying factors that impact a certain problem.
My mission is to educate you about your sleep, brain health and mental health so that you are equipped with the tools you need to change the course of your life.
Treating a sleep problem will be the gateway to optimizing your functioning and transforming your life.

About Dr. Shane Creado
Shane Creado is a double board-certified sleep medicine doctor and psychiatrist. He practices functional sleep medicine, integrative psychiatry, and sports psychiatry, putting all those skills together to uncover underlying factors that sabotage the patients, comprehensively treat them, and help them achieve their goals.
He completed an undergraduate degree in physical therapy, went on to do an MD, graduating at the top of his class with Honors in every subject in medical school. He completed his psychiatric training at the University of Wisconsin where they awarded him the graduating resident award for academic achievement. He then went on to a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the University of Wisconsin because of the huge overlap between sleep and psychiatric issues.
As he believed in optimization, not normalization, he devoted his time to optimizing brain health in professional athletes, executives and anybody who is interested in peak performance.
As a sports psychiatrist, he has been on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Sports Psychiatry for several years, as its Chairman of Memberships and Mentoring, has treated a number of elite athletes, CEO’s and business leaders, and has worked with sports organizations as a consultant, including the PGA tour.
